Shropshire Estate Agent Offers Free Virtual Tours for Christmas
An independent estate agency in Shropshire, Samuel Wood, has announced a new initiative to offer free 360° virtual tours for all new property listings during the holiday season. This campaign is aimed at providing sellers with a competitive edge during one of the busiest times of the year for online property searches.
The virtual tour technology allows potential buyers to explore properties remotely, gaining insights into room layouts and overall flow before scheduling physical visits. According to data from Ideal Insight, homes featuring 360° immersive presentations receive up to 49 percent more inquiries, attracting serious and well-qualified buyers. With the New Year typically seeing a spike in online property activity, Samuel Wood believes this offer will resonate with those looking to move early in 2026.
Free Offer to Boost Seller Visibility
The complimentary upgrade, usually a cost borne by sellers, will be available for six weeks as a “Christmas present” to the local market. The agency has made significant investments in 360° and video technology over the past year, applying it across various property types, including barn conversions, rural homes, townhouses, and new builds.
Russell Griffin, Co-director of Samuel Wood, commented on the initiative, stating, “Rightmove often reports that page views spike by 15–20 percent in the first two weeks of January compared to December. Zoopla similarly notes increased traffic, especially from first-time buyers and families.” He added that this surge is often followed by a slowdown in February as serious inquiries transition into viewings and offers.
Griffin emphasized the importance of modern technology in real estate, noting, “Modern buyers expect to explore a home long before they arrive at the front door. 360° imaging allows them to understand the space thoroughly and make more confident decisions.”
Campaign Details and Branch Coverage
The offer is applicable across all Samuel Wood branches, including those in Shrewsbury, Craven Arms, Ludlow, and hubs in Church Stretton and Telford. It will run until January 15, 2026, providing an opportunity for sellers to enhance their property marketing during the festive period.
“This is genuinely a Christmas gift from us to the Shropshire public,” Griffin stated, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to supporting the local community. The aim of this initiative is clear: to help sellers kick off the New Year with the strongest marketing advantage possible.
With the ongoing evolution of buyer expectations, Samuel Wood is positioning itself as a forward-thinking agency ready to adapt to the needs of today’s market.
