Fatal Two-Car Crash Near Cambridgeshire Leaves One Dead

A tragic accident on August 13, 2023, resulted in the death of a young man following a two-car collision near the border of Cambridgeshire. The incident occurred at approximately 15:37 on the A1122 (Downham Road) in Crimplesham, just outside of Downham Market in Norfolk.

The crash involved a grey Audi A5 and a blue BMW iX1. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, quickly arrived on the scene. Unfortunately, a male passenger in the Audi, who was in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. The driver of the Audi, a man in his 60s, along with two other passengers, was subsequently transported to the hospital. Among them, a woman in her 50s sustained life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the BMW, a woman in her 40s, also suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, the A1122 was closed for several hours as authorities conducted their investigation. The road was reopened to traffic at approximately 23:00.
