Trump’s Signature Revealed in Epstein Birthday Letter Controversy

A birthday letter signed by Donald Trump has emerged from the estate of the late Jeffrey Epstein, contradicting Trump’s previous claims that such a note did not exist. The House Oversight Committee confirmed on September 8, 2025, that they received a copy of the birthday book created for Epstein’s 50th birthday, which includes the signed letter.

The letter, which reads, “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret,” was sent to the Committee after they issued a subpoena for related documents last month. This revelation has intensified scrutiny of Trump, particularly regarding his past statements about Epstein and the ongoing investigations into the financier’s activities.

At the time the letter’s existence was first reported, Trump vehemently denied it, stating, “These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures.” Following the publication of details by the Wall Street Journal, Trump filed a lawsuit against the newspaper and its parent company, News Corp, alleging defamation and asserting that the letter was “nonexistent.”

Representative Robert Garcia weighed in on the controversy, criticizing Trump for previously labeling the Epstein investigation as a “hoax” and asserting that the release of the letter proves Trump was misleading the public. “Enough of the games and lies, release the full files now,” Garcia stated, calling for transparency from the former president.

A spokeswoman for Dow Jones defended the integrity of their reporting, expressing confidence in the accuracy of the information published. Meanwhile, Taylor Budowich, deputy chief of staff at the White House, took to social media, sharing images of Trump’s signature and challenging the authenticity of the letter. He tweeted, “Time for @newscorp to open that checkbook, it’s not his signature. DEFAMATION!”

As this story unfolds, the implications of the letter’s release could have significant effects on Trump’s public image and legal standing, especially considering the heightened interest in Epstein’s connections to various high-profile individuals. The ongoing discussions around accountability and transparency in political communications continue to resonate in the public domain.
