Former Chief Justice Medenica Declares Defiance in Court

Former Chief Justice Vesna Medenica has made a passionate declaration of her innocence during a recent court appearance, stating that she will never speak out against her perceived injustices, even if faced with a potential 20-year prison sentence. In her final remarks before the Montenegrin High Court, Medenica expressed her unwavering commitment to her country while firmly rejecting any allegations of wrongdoing.

Medenica emphasized that she is prepared to sacrifice everything for Montenegro but will not compromise her integrity or “give her face” to anyone. “I did not wish to heal my wounds by inflicting wounds on others,” she declared. Many anticipated that a lengthy sentence would compel her to testify against others involved in the case, but Medenica insists she will maintain her silence.

The court is currently examining charges against her that revolve primarily around her role as a mother, with accusations linking her to various criminal organizations without substantive evidence.
