Epstein’s Emails Expose Troubling Trump Ties Before Death
Newly unearthed emails from the late Jeffrey Epstein reveal alarming connections to former President Donald Trump, suggesting a deeper awareness of Epstein’s illegal activities than previously acknowledged. These communications were obtained by the House Oversight Committee and cast a shadow on Trump’s claims of ignorance regarding Epstein’s actions.
One particularly striking email, dated January 31, 2019, was sent to author Michael Wolff just six months before Epstein’s death while he awaited trial for sex trafficking. In the email, Epstein refuted Trump’s narrative that he had severed ties with him. Trump had stated he “asked” Epstein to leave his exclusive Mar-a-Lago club upon learning of his illicit behavior. Epstein countered this assertion by claiming he was never a member, stating, “(Trump) said he asked me to resign. (I was) never a member ever.”
The email further escalates the situation by suggesting that Trump was aware of Epstein’s abuse. Epstein wrote, “Of course he knew about the girls as he asked (Ghislaine) to stop.” This claim directly contradicts Trump’s previous statements, raising serious questions about his connections to Epstein and his knowledge of the alleged crimes.
Revelations from the Past
This email is not an isolated incident; it follows another concerning message sent by Epstein on April 2, 2011. In that correspondence to Ghislaine Maxwell, he described Trump as the “dog that hasn’t barked,” indicating his surprise that Trump had not publicly distanced himself from Epstein’s growing legal troubles. Epstein noted that despite the mounting scandal, Trump had remained silent.
Epstein elaborated, suggesting a direct connection between Trump and his alleged victims. He wrote, “i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump… (REDACTED) spent hours at my house with him… he has never once been mentioned.” The redacted name refers to an alleged victim, whose identity has been protected by the committee. This statement implies a disturbing link between Trump and Epstein’s alleged activities.
The context of Epstein’s final line, “im 75% there,” remains ambiguous. It hints at his efforts to manage the fallout from ongoing investigations, suggesting he might have been attempting to contain the narrative surrounding his relationships with powerful figures.
Contradictory Testimonies and Ongoing Impact
These revelations sharply contrast with the testimony from Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a twenty-year sentence for child sex trafficking. Following her transfer to a minimum-security prison in Bryan, Texas, Maxwell reportedly spoke with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, a former lawyer for Trump. In her statements, she denied any wrongdoing on Trump’s part, asserting, “I never witnessed the President in any inappropriate setting in any way” and “The President was never inappropriate with anybody.”
The conflicting accounts from Epstein and Maxwell leave a cloud of suspicion over the relationships and events surrounding Epstein’s life and subsequent death. As investigations continue, these emails may further influence public perception and scrutiny of the highest levels of American politics.
The implications of these communications are profound, as they highlight a web of secrecy and possible complicity involving influential figures. The public’s demand for clarity on the connections between Epstein and Trump is likely to intensify, ensuring that the consequences of these revelations will resonate in political circles for years to come.
