Ukraine Engages in Peace Talks in US Amid Ongoing Conflict

A Ukrainian delegation is currently in the United States to engage in high-stakes discussions aimed at establishing a peace framework to conclude the ongoing conflict with Russia. The talks involve key figures from the administration of former President Donald Trump, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law. The aim is to refine the previously proposed 28-point peace plan crafted by Trump.

Participating in the Ukrainian delegation are prominent officials, including Andrii Hnatov, the head of Ukraine’s armed forces; Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s foreign minister; and Rustem Umerov, the head of Ukraine’s security council, as stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Military Strikes Intensify in Ukraine

An official from Ukraine’s security services reported that the Ukrainian forces targeted and struck “shadow fleet” tankers in the Black Sea. These vessels were allegedly en route to a Russian terminal to load oil for export to foreign markets. Utilizing domestically produced Sea Baby drones, Ukraine executed the strikes off the Turkish coast, prompting a swift rescue operation by the Turkish coast guard.
