Alessia Russo Signs Long-Term Deal with Arsenal Ahead of WSL Season

Alessia Russo has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal, solidifying her commitment to the club ahead of the new Women’s Super League (WSL) season. The announcement comes after a remarkable period for the 26-year-old striker, who has significantly contributed to both her club and national team’s successes.

In May, Russo played a pivotal role as Arsenal triumphed in the Champions League, defeating seasoned competitors in Lisbon. Following that victory, she helped the England national team retain their European Championship title under the guidance of head coach Sarina Wiegman. Her individual accolades have also been impressive; she was named the Football Writers’ Player of the Year and earned spots in both the PFA and Champions League Teams of the Year.
