Glaswegians Can Order Fresh Christmas Trees via Deliveroo

This festive season, residents of Glasgow can now have a Christmas tree delivered directly to their door through the new service launched by Deliveroo. For the first time, the food and drink delivery platform has expanded its offerings to include fresh fir Christmas trees, allowing users to order from trusted local suppliers via the Deliveroo app.

Deliveroo aims to simplify the often hectic process of acquiring a Christmas tree, especially for those who do not own a vehicle. The initiative is set to cater to urban dwellers across the UK, including major cities such as Manchester, Edinburgh, and Newcastle.

The service offers a variety of tree sizes, ranging from 3 feet to 12 feet, with prices starting at £59.99. Customers can select from local suppliers including Real Christmas Trees, which is already operational, and Glasgow Christmas Trees, which will soon launch. Once an order is placed through the app, the tree is delivered the same day by the supplier’s own delivery fleet, as part of Deliveroo’s Marketplace+ offering.

Enhancing the Festive Experience

In addition to trees, customers can also find a selection of festive decorations, including wreaths and garlands, in the Shopping section of the app. This expansion reflects Deliveroo’s commitment to supporting customers during the busy holiday season.

Suzy McClintock, Vice President of New Verticals at Deliveroo, expressed enthusiasm about the new service. “As Christmas fast approaches, we’re thrilled to make it even easier for our customers to get into the festive spirit,” she stated. “We know the run-up to Christmas can be a hectic time and there aren’t enough hours in the day.”

Deliveroo’s new service not only addresses the logistical challenges of tree installation but also enhances the overall holiday experience. Some suppliers will offer an optional installation service, providing additional support for those who need help setting up their trees.
