Expert Reveals Tesco’s Secret Code to Save on Quality Street
Jordon Cox, a well-known expert on ITV’s “This Morning,” has shared a money-saving tip for Tesco shoppers looking to purchase the popular festive selection, Quality Street. His advice highlights a hidden method that allows customers to maximize their savings during the holiday season.
Unlocking Savings with a Secret Code
In a recent video shared on his social media account, @couponkiduk, Cox explained how Tesco customers can benefit from the retailer’s Clubcard Price promotions. Specifically, he revealed that shoppers can identify the expiration date of promotions by decoding a six-digit number found on the shelves. This number, which begins with ’25’, is key to unlocking these savings.
Cox elaborated, stating, “There’s a secret code at Tesco that saves you money.” He explained that by reading the six-digit number in reverse, customers can determine the expiry date of the offer. According to his instructions, the last two digits indicate the day, the middle two denote the month, and the first two represent the year.
For example, Quality Street Chocolate Tub is currently available for £6 for Clubcard holders, a reduction of one-third off the regular price. This offer is valid until December 2, 2025. Cox emphasized the importance of knowing these details, saying, “If it’s an item you buy pretty regularly, you can see when it expires… so you know when you’ll need to stock up! If you can avoid paying full price, you’ll save a bit of cash on your shopping trips!”
Social Media Buzz and Additional Offers
The video showcasing this tip quickly gained traction, amassing over 290,000 views on social media. Many viewers expressed their appreciation for the information, with one user remarking, “This information changed my life.” Another commented, “I didn’t know about this,” highlighting the widespread interest in practical money-saving techniques.
In addition to Quality Street, Tesco shoppers are also enjoying a new festive treat from Krispy Kreme. The doughnut retailer has introduced a limited-edition range inspired by Quality Street chocolates. Among the flavors are The Purple One and Caramel Swirl, designed to capture the essence of the beloved chocolates.
Reporter Andrew Nuttall recently sampled the new offerings and praised the Purple One for its caramel and chocolate hazelnut filling, stating, “It tasted very much like the chocolate I’ve loved for years, albeit with a little bit of doughnut added in.” However, he found the Caramel Swirl to be overly sweet, noting, “Despite nailing the flavours, I wouldn’t have necessarily called it a Christmas treat.” Nuttall’s mixed review underscores the varied responses to seasonal products.
As festive shopping ramps up, savvy consumers can leverage tips from experts like Jordon Cox to make the most of their budgets. With prices rising, understanding how to navigate promotions effectively can lead to significant savings during the holiday season.
