PVA Unveils New Album ‘No More Like This’ Set for January Release
London-based experimental pop trio PVA has announced the release of their highly anticipated album, No More Like This, scheduled for January 23, 2024. This marks the band’s first full-length project since their 2022 album, BLUSH. The group will collaborate with Secretly Distribution to distribute the new album, reinforcing their commitment to independent music.
To promote the upcoming release, PVA will host a special residency at Ormside Projects in London, performing on September 18 and September 26. This event provides fans with a unique opportunity to experience new material live before the album’s official launch.
The first single from the album, titled ‘Boyface’, is already available and showcases the band’s signature sound with a captivating electro-pop vibe. The track encapsulates themes of physical intimacy and desire, drawing listeners into its rhythm and energy. The accompanying music video, which features collaboration with director of photography Sal Redpath, visually represents the song’s exploration of connection and sensory experiences.
PVA elaborates on the significance of ‘Boyface’, stating, “The song is about desire and somatic sensuality—the beauty and fragility of fleeting connections on the dance floor. For the video, we collaborated with a wonderful group of queer individuals to explore touch, interaction, sensory play, and textures.” The band emphasizes that the shoot transformed into a space of care and exploration, allowing participants to freely express and embody these themes.
The video, showcasing a vibrant tapestry of interactions, aims to reflect the essence of queer spaces as environments of healing, connection, and creative possibility. The band expressed their gratitude for the collaborative effort, describing the filming day as “truly beautiful.”
With the release of No More Like This on the horizon, anticipation is building among fans and music enthusiasts alike. PVA’s dedication to authentic expression and their innovative approach continues to set them apart in the contemporary music scene.
Stay tuned for more updates as PVA prepares to unveil their latest artistic endeavor.
