Motorists in North Staffordshire are experiencing significant delays during the morning rush hour due to multiple crashes on major routes. Specifically, incidents have been reported on the A50 and at a junction near the A500, prompting traffic monitoring services to issue alerts.

The most notable incident occurred on the westbound carriageway of the A50 between Meir Park and the Blythe Bridge roundabout. According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the alert regarding the Blythe Bridge incident was issued just after 07:20 local time. The service indicates that the westbound carriageway remains partially obstructed as emergency services respond to the scene.

In addition to the A50 incident, another crash has occurred near the A500 in Longport. Inrix reports that Porthill Road is also partially blocked due to this incident, causing further congestion.
