Wolfe Tones Set for Dublin Comeback with Two Summer Shows in 2026
Irish folk band The Wolfe Tones has announced a return to the stage with two highly anticipated shows at Dublin’s 3Arena on July 3 and 4, 2026. This decision follows their earlier announcement of a farewell tour that concluded in October 2024 with three performances at the same venue.
The band, founded in 1963, had initially declared their final tour in 2023, which generated significant interest and led to the addition of a show at Thomond Park in Limerick for July 2025, after the first date sold out rapidly.
Reflecting on their time away from live performances, the band expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans. In a statement, they noted, “For more than 60 years, our music has taken us from small halls to some of the biggest stages in the world, carried always by the people who believed in what we were doing.”
The band emphasized the importance of their connection with fans, stating, “Stepping back from live performances gave us a rare chance to pause but it also reminded us how much those nights of music and shared spirit have meant — to us as much as to anyone in the audience.”
The excitement surrounding their return has been palpable, with fans reaching out from “every corner of Ireland and beyond,” encouraging the band to perform again. The Wolfe Tones conveyed that the messages they received highlighted how deeply their songs resonate with audiences, reinforcing the strong bond that has developed over the years.
“We’re proud to sing about the history, culture, and character of this country and we still have the fire to do it. So, in 2026, we’ll take to the stage once more,” they affirmed.
Tickets for the upcoming shows are currently available for pre-sale, starting from €51.20, and will go on general sale at 9 a.m. on Friday via Ticketmaster. The band looks forward to reliving the magic of their performances and sharing memorable moments with their audience once again.
