Irish co-founders Jennifer O’Connell, Aoife Matthews, and Louise O’Riordan have introduced a new supplement, The Elevator, aimed at simplifying women’s health. This product offers a once-a-day sachet containing essential nutrients specifically designed for women, addressing a notable gap in the market. O’Connell, who transitioned from a 22-year legal career to launch Sisterly, emphasized the need for a straightforward solution that eliminates guesswork.

The Elevator combines 23 carefully selected ingredients to support key health concerns identified through extensive research. After surveying hundreds of women, the co-founders discovered that energy levels, immunity, hormonal balance, and beauty were the most pressing issues. With this information, they collaborated with a team of scientists and nutritionists to create a supplement that effectively addresses these needs.

Focus on Female Physiology and Quality Ingredients

Each sachet of The Elevator contains a significant dose of 150 mg of coenzyme Q10, a vital nutrient that naturally decreases with age. Matthews, who left her investment banking career to pursue a diploma in nutrition, described coenzyme Q10 as the supplement’s “hero ingredient.” The formulation also includes vitamins A, C, D3, E, and K2, as well as a vitamin B complex and essential minerals such as magnesium and zinc.

The founders made a conscious decision to avoid synthetic ingredients, opting instead for natural forms of each nutrient to maximize absorption. “Many brands choose cheaper synthetic forms, which often don’t provide the same benefits,” Matthews explained. Consumers will pay a premium for quality, with a month’s supply priced at £89 for one-time purchases or £79 on subscription. O’Riordan noted that opting for high-quality ingredients means that consumers save money compared to purchasing each nutrient separately.

Sustainable Packaging and Community Engagement

To enhance user adherence, Sisterly designed minimalist packaging that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The recyclable box encourages daily use, while the individual sachets offer convenience for busy lifestyles. O’Connell highlighted that the unattractiveness of traditional supplement bottles often leads to neglect, stating, “We wanted to create something that stands out and prompts daily use.”

Moreover, Sisterly is committed to sustainability. The packaging is fully recyclable, and refill envelopes have been introduced to reduce waste. The team’s dedication to clean formulations ensures that The Elevator remains free from sugars and artificial additives, contributing to a longer development process as they sought the right flavors. They settled on a natural mandarin flavor that can be easily mixed with various beverages.

Sisterly also emphasizes community involvement as a core aspect of its mission. The brand hosts events in Ireland and abroad, including sea swims and yoga classes, promoting both physical and mental well-being. “We have a saying: ‘Sisterly made me do it,'” O’Riordan shared, reflecting the brand’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for women.

The company pledges 1% of its sales to women’s initiatives, collaborating with organizations like Choose Love, which aids displaced women and children, and local charities such as Women’s Aid, which supports victims of domestic violence. The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and Sisterly has attracted endorsements from notable figures, including Olympians and sports broadcasters.

By actively listening to its customer base, Sisterly plans to expand its offerings, with a pregnancy-safe supplement expected to launch next year. O’Connell stated, “We are focused on responding to our community’s needs without complicating our product line.” With this approach, Sisterly aims to remain a fundamental resource for women seeking essential health support.

As Sisterly continues to grow, its commitment to quality, community, and women’s health remains at the forefront, paving the way for a new standard in the supplement industry.
