Recognizing Student Achievements

Cllr. Glynog Davies, the Cabinet Member for Education and Welsh Language, expressed his pride in the accomplishments of the young learners. He stated, “Today is a celebration of the brilliant achievements of our young people in Carmarthenshire who are receiving their GCSE results. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication in preparing for your GCSEs.”

The council highlighted that these results are not only a testament to the students’ efforts but also reflect the unwavering support of teachers, support staff, families, and friends. Cllr. Davies emphasized the collective effort that contributes to the educational success of the region.

Statements from Council Leaders

In a joint statement, Wendy Walters, Chief Executive of Carmarthenshire County Council, and Owain Lloyd, Director of Education and Children’s Services, congratulated the learners on their outstanding achievements. They noted, “Your hard work and dedication are recognized in these results, and we are very proud of you all.”

Walters and Lloyd also extended their gratitude to the educators and support staff, stating, “We would like to extend our gratitude to their teachers, support staff, families, and friends for their hard work over the last two years. Thank you all.”
