Archaeologists have uncovered a significant archaeological site in Israel, revealing a **5,500-year-old blade factory** that enhances understanding of the **Canaanites**, an ancient people referenced in the Bible. The workshop, located in **Kiryat Gat**, approximately **40 miles** south of **Tel Aviv**, was announced by the **Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA)** in a recent update.

The IAA emphasized that “only exceptional individuals” possessed the skills necessary to create these intricate blades.

“This is clear evidence that already at the onset of the Bronze Age, the local society here was organised and complex, and had professional specialisation,” stated the IAA.
