The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued urgent food safety warnings, prompting major retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Lidl, and Poundland to recall specific items. Consumers are advised not to consume the affected products, which pose potential health risks. Instead, shoppers who have purchased these items should return them to the store for a full refund, with no receipt required.

Details of the Recalls

Since the beginning of November 2025, several food recalls have been announced. Among the items affected is Sainsbury’s JS Free From Breaded Mini Fillets, which has been recalled due to the presence of milk. This ingredient could pose a serious health risk for individuals with milk allergies or intolerances. The product is packaged in a 305g size, and the recall affects items with a use-by date of November 15, 16, 17, and 20, 2025. Customers are urged to return the product for a refund if they have purchased it.

Another notable recall involves Poundland’s The Tasty Snack Co. Roasted and Salted Cashews. The company has identified a potential safety hazard, as the product may contain shards of glass. The affected cashews are sold in 100g packs, with a best-before date of July 19, 2026. Consumers who have this product should not eat it and should instead return it for a full refund.

Additional Product Warnings

Similarly, Lidl has announced a recall of its Simply Roasted and Salted Cashews, which also may contain glass fragments. Packaged in 125g sizes, these cashews have a best-before date of June 28, 2026. Customers are advised against consumption and should return the product to their nearest Lidl store for a refund.

These recalls highlight ongoing concerns about food safety in the retail sector. The FSA’s warnings serve as a reminder for consumers to remain vigilant about food products they purchase. By returning these potentially hazardous items, shoppers can help ensure their safety and the safety of others.

For those affected by these recalls, it is important to act quickly and return the products to the respective stores. As the situation develops, further updates may be provided by the FSA and the involved retailers.
