Peter Capaldi Announces 2026 UK Tour Following Two Album Releases
Peter Capaldi, renowned for his roles in various television dramas, including his portrayal of the Twelfth Doctor in *Doctor Who*, is set to embark on his first-ever music tour in 2026. The actor and musician has announced an eight-date tour across the United Kingdom, kicking off on **February 24, 2026**, in Newcastle. This tour marks a significant return to his musical roots after more than 40 years since he formed his first band, The Dreamboys.
Capaldi has been making waves in the music scene, having released his debut album, *St. Christopher*, in **2021** and following it up with *Sweet Illusions* earlier this year. His music, characterized by dark synths and fuzzy guitars, reflects a distinct blend of punk and rock influences, evoking a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of his past. In an interview with *NME*, he described *Sweet Illusions* as possessing “quite a nostalgic feeling about it… It’s a bit art studenty, Glasgow, 1978.”
The actor’s recent surprise performance at the **Glastonbury Music Festival** alongside fellow Glaswegian band Franz Ferdinand showcased his musical talent and re-established his connection to the rock genre. He expressed his excitement about returning to live performances, stating, “Recording, with all the advantages of the digital age, is one thing, playing live is another, but I wanted to see if I could go out after all of these years and play live in front of an audience.”
Newcastle will host the first show at The Cluny venue, followed by performances in seven additional cities across the UK. Capaldi highlighted the importance of his new band, mentioning, “I’ve lucked out with my band, a group of wonderful young musicians who have bravely come on board for the ride.”
Tickets for the tour will be available starting at **10:00 AM** on **November 28, 2025**, through myticket.co.uk/artists/peter-capaldi. This highly anticipated tour promises to blend Capaldi’s rich history in acting with his passion for music, offering fans an exciting opportunity to experience his artistry live.
As Capaldi prepares to hit the road, audiences can expect an electrifying blend of nostalgia and fresh sounds, as he revisits his punk-rock roots after decades in the acting spotlight.
