Three Vacant West Midlands Homes Auctioned for £50,000 Each
Three homes in the West Midlands are set to be auctioned next month, each carrying a guide price of £50,000. These properties, located in Wednesbury, Oldbury, and Smethwick, have remained vacant for decades and are now available for developers and DIY enthusiasts alike.
According to Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive at Bond Wolfe, the auctioneer managing the sale, the homes present a solid opportunity for those willing to undertake renovation projects. Bassi noted the properties are cluttered and require significant modernisation, which makes them appealing for investment.
Property Details and Auction Information
The homes going under the hammer include:
– **43 Hales Road, Wednesbury**: This three-bedroom end-terraced house features a driveway, front and back gardens, two reception rooms, and a kitchen on the ground floor. The upper floor includes a landing, three bedrooms, and a bathroom, all equipped with gas central heating and double glazing.
– **125 Hill Top Road, Oldbury**: A four-bedroom mid-terraced property with a prominent double frontage, it has gardens at both the front and back. The layout comprises a hall, two reception rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. The upper level hosts four bedrooms, also benefiting from gas central heating and double glazing.
– **162 Hales Lane, Smethwick**: This three-bedroom semi-detached house includes a driveway and garage, making it potentially suitable for further development, pending planning permission. The ground floor features two reception rooms and a kitchen, while the second floor has two bedrooms, a box room, and a bathroom, with similar heating and glazing features.
The auction is scheduled for December 10, 2023, starting at 08:30. It will be livestreamed on Bond Wolfe’s website, allowing remote bidding via proxy, telephone, or internet.
Interested bidders should be prepared for the challenge of clearing and refurbishing these properties. Bassi emphasized that the homes, given their condition, are ideal for those looking to invest in a project that requires a hands-on approach. The sale represents a unique opportunity within a market where many properties are not readily available.
With the current housing market in the West Midlands experiencing fluctuations, these auctioned homes may attract attention from a diverse range of buyers, from seasoned investors to first-time homeowners seeking a project.
