Humanoid Robot Achieves World Record by Walking 100 km Unassisted

A humanoid robot developed by the Chinese company Agibot Innovation has set a new world record by walking 106.286 km (approximately 62.1371 miles) without assistance. This remarkable feat took place over a three-day period from November 10 to 13, 2025, marking a significant milestone in robotics and artificial intelligence.

The Agibot A2, which stands at 1.75 meters (about 5 feet 7 inches) tall and weighs 121 pounds, was designed to navigate complex environments. It utilizes an array of advanced technologies, including GPS, lidar, and infrared depth cameras, allowing it to understand and react to its surroundings effectively. The robot’s endurance was tested in real-world conditions as it traveled from Suzhou to Shanghai, encountering challenges such as street crossings, traffic, and potholes.

Prior to this achievement, the Agibot A2 underwent rigorous optimization from April to May 2025 to ensure stability during locomotion. Its capabilities were further demonstrated during a 24-hour test walk on August 17, where it successfully operated in temperatures reaching 104°F (40°C). The event was broadcast live, showcasing the robot’s impressive endurance.

The successful completion of the 100 km walk has earned the Agibot A2 a Guinness World Record, a significant recognition for both the robot and Agibot Innovation.
