One individual was transported to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with significant injuries, including fractures to both arms and lacerations to their legs.

According to a spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police, emergency services responded promptly to the scene of the accident near Longford. The police confirmed that one person sustained serious injuries, necessitating immediate medical attention.

The crash led to the closure of Tewkesbury Road for approximately three hours, causing significant disruption in the area. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported that the A38 was blocked in both directions between Longford Lane and Ironbridge Road, resulting in slow-moving traffic as authorities managed the situation.

South Western Ambulance Service was also contacted for further comment regarding the response to the incident. The road has since reopened to traffic, allowing normal flow to resume in the area.

In a separate incident later that day, another collision occurred on Eastern Avenue in Gloucester, involving two cars near a local McDonald’s restaurant. This crash, which took place shortly before 23:00, did not result in serious injuries, but five individuals were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for evaluation.
