National Lottery Offers £15 Million Jackpot on September 13

The National Lottery is set to feature a special jackpot of £15 million on Saturday, September 13, 2025, as part of its Must Be Won promotion. If no player matches the six main numbers, the jackpot will roll down, benefiting other winners by increasing their prize amounts. This life-changing sum could provide significant financial security for the fortunate winner.
Exciting Jackpot and Additional Prizes
Alongside the massive jackpot, the draw will include an additional 15 prizes of £100,000 each, making it a thrilling day for lottery enthusiasts. Andy Carter, the senior winners’ adviser at National Lottery operator Allwyn, highlighted the excitement surrounding the event, stating, “This Saturday, there will be a special £15 million ‘must be won’ jackpot up for grabs – as well as an additional 15 £100k prizes to be won! What an incredible day of luck that will be.”
To win the Lotto jackpot, players must match all six main numbers. Partial matches also yield significant rewards; matching five main balls and the bonus ball nets a prize of £1 million, which can increase if the jackpot rolls down. Players can win cash prizes for matching three or more numbers, making the game accessible to a wide range of participants.
Contribution to Good Causes
The National Lottery plays a crucial role in funding various projects across the United Kingdom. According to Carter, players contribute approximately £30 million each week to initiatives supported by the lottery. Since its inception, over £50 billion has been raised for good causes. This funding supports a diverse array of projects, from the arts and sports to local community groups and the preservation of historic landmarks.
Players can purchase Lotto tickets for £2 each, available throughout the week and until 19:30 on draw days, which are Wednesdays and Saturdays. In addition to the Lotto, there are other exciting games such as EuroMillions, held every Tuesday and Friday, and the Set for Life game on Mondays and Thursdays. The Thunderball draw takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, offering a top prize of £500,000.
Participants are encouraged to play responsibly and for enjoyment. The excitement of the National Lottery not only offers the chance for life-changing wins but also contributes to many positive initiatives across the country.
