Erika Kirk Forgives Husband’s Alleged Assassin at Heartfelt Memorial
Erika Kirk publicly forgave Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing her husband, Charlie Kirk, during a deeply emotional memorial service held on September 21, 2025, at State Farm Stadium. In front of tens of thousands of supporters, she expressed her desire for reconciliation, stating that her late husband would have wanted her to forgive his alleged assassin.
In her poignant tribute, Erika recalled the moment she learned of her husband’s death from a gunshot wound to the throat. “I felt shock, I felt horror,” she shared, breaking down in tears. “Even in death, I could see the man that I love.” The crowd responded with applause as she spoke of Charlie’s faith and commitment to helping others, emphasizing that he had a vision to save “the lost boys of the west.”
Erika’s speech drew tears from the audience as she reflected on her marriage. “My marriage with Charlie was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I know it was the best for him as well,” she said. She revealed that throughout their relationship, Charlie often asked, “How can I better serve you as a husband?” This sentiment highlighted the loving bond they shared.
The new CEO of Turning Point USA, Erika vowed to continue her husband’s legacy and mission. She expressed gratitude to Second Lady Usha Vance for her support in the aftermath of the tragedy. “We didn’t see violence, we didn’t see rioting,” Erika noted. “Instead, we saw what my husband always prayed we would see in this country. We saw revival!”
As her tribute came to a close, Erika shared a moving message of hope, stating that Charlie had joined his savior, Jesus Christ, in paradise. “Even though Charlie died too early, he was ready to die,” she emphasized. “Charlie died with incomplete work, but not unfinished business.”
The emotional farewell resonated deeply with attendees, who responded with a standing ovation and chants of “we love you” as Erika left the stage. The memorial served not only as a tribute to Charlie Kirk’s life and work but also as a testament to the strength of love and forgiveness in the face of unimaginable loss.
