Santa Claus to Enchant Families at Buchanan Galleries This December
Santa Claus will make a special appearance at Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow this December, inviting families to experience his enchanting grotto. The event, which aims to create lasting memories, will take place every weekend until Christmas Eve, allowing children to meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes, and take home a keepsake photo.
The grotto will be open from Saturday, December 6, to Sunday, December 21, operating from 11:00 to 17:00 each day. On December 23 and December 24, there will be additional opportunities for families to visit Santa before Christmas. Each child will receive a small gift from Santa, and entry to the grotto is free, with an option to donate to the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
In collaboration with the charity, the organizers have designed the grotto experience to provide children with a “magical one-to-one moment” with Santa. This initiative not only offers joy to visiting families but also supports vital services at Glasgow’s busiest children’s hospital. All donations collected will help fund life-changing equipment, support services, and research aimed at improving the quality of care for young patients.
Kathy Murdoch, the Centre Director at Buchanan Galleries, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “We know our visitors are eager to know when our Christmas festivities will begin this year, so we’re thrilled to confirm Santa’s arrival to Buchanan Galleries from December 6. Christmas is such a special time for families, and we can’t wait to welcome guests to the grotto to create magical memories together.”
William McGowan, Head of Partnerships at Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, emphasized the importance of the event, saying, “We are thrilled to partner with Buchanan Galleries once again for Christmas. Santa’s Grotto not only brings joy to the families that visit but also helps to raise vital funds for young patients in Scotland’s busiest children’s hospital. Every donation makes a difference, and we truly appreciate the support from both Buchanan Galleries and the wider community during the festive season.”
This festive initiative promises to enhance the holiday spirit in Glasgow while also contributing to a worthy cause. Families are encouraged to participate and make the most of this magical opportunity to connect with Santa Claus.
