Dartford Council has recently received several planning applications, including a proposal for a new day nursery and plans for the demolition of a residential property. These applications reflect ongoing development initiatives in the Dartford area.

Among the notable submissions is a proposal to convert a six-bedroom house on Highfield Road into a day nursery. This facility aims to accommodate up to 45 children and provide space for 15 staff. The scheme intends to utilize the garden as an outdoor play area, while also including staff facilities and a one-bedroom flat on the top floor for residential accommodation for workers. If approved, this site would transition from its current designation as a house in multiple occupation (HMO) to a dedicated childcare facility.

Demolition Plans and Other Developments

In Darenth, an application has been submitted for the demolition of a house known as The Hermitage on Green Street Green Road. The proposal includes plans for a new residential dwelling to be constructed in its place.

Additional applications include a request for a part double-storey and part single-storey extension at a property located on Denver Road. This project involves replacing an existing conservatory, enlarging the porch, and adding a new outbuilding after the removal of a garage.

Several other applications have also been filed, showcasing a variety of residential enhancements throughout Dartford. These include:

– A loft conversion with a rear extension and rooflights in Common Lane, Wilmington.
– A part two-storey, part single-storey extension with rooflights in Wayville Road, Dartford.
– A renewal of permission for a demountable office building at TWA Water Works, also on Green Street Green Road, Darenth.
