Coleen Nolan Shares Insights on Daughter’s Engagement Journey

Coleen Nolan, a prominent figure on the ITV show Loose Women, has expressed her initial concerns regarding her daughter, Ciara Fensome, and her romantic relationship with Maxx Innes. This revelation came during a recent episode of the Loose Women: Just Between Us podcast, where Nolan and fellow presenter Jane Moore discussed a listener’s dilemma about her daughter’s new partner.

While addressing a listener named Joanne, who felt uneasy about her daughter’s boyfriend despite his good treatment of her, Jane Moore suggested that Joanne’s concerns might reflect a “snobby” attitude. Nolan, a mother of three, emphasized the importance of her daughter’s happiness, stating, “If he treats her well, isn’t that all you want?” She encouraged Joanne to allow her daughter to “live her own life a bit”, highlighting the importance of trust in relationships.

Coleen shared her first impressions of Maxx, who is now engaged to Ciara and expecting their first child. Nolan recalled the moment Ciara introduced Maxx, describing how her daughter excitedly remarked about him being a guitarist. She humorously noted, “Oh God, no, please don’t let her end up with a musician because I’d just divorced one.” Despite her initial doubts, Coleen expressed that her concerns quickly faded as she witnessed their relationship flourish, ultimately deeming it “the best thing that’s ever happened.”

The couple’s engagement in April 2023 reportedly took place during a trip to Vietnam. Following the proposal, Ciara shared a heartfelt post on social media featuring their intertwined hands adorned with her engagement ring. She expressed her excitement, stating, “It was like a fairytale and I can’t wait to spend forever with you @maxxinnes. I love you xxx.”

In a show of support, Coleen also took to Instagram to celebrate the engagement, expressing her joy for the couple. “Well, what can I say… I’m so so delighted that @maxxinnes has asked my beautiful girl @ciarafensome to marry him,” she wrote. “I love them both sooooo much. Miss them even more! Can’t wait to see them. Off to buy a hat.”
