Janette Manrara Bids Emotional Farewell After Chicago Performance

Janette Manrara has expressed her heartfelt farewell to her co-stars after concluding her role as Roxie Hart in the stage production *Chicago*. The presenter of *Strictly It Takes Two* has been part of the show for six months, receiving an outpouring of support and admiration from fans and colleagues alike. In a poignant social media post, she shared a photo of her script, stating, “And just like that, @chicagoonstage is a wrap. It’s been a whirlwind…. But what a story! Unforgettable!”
The emotional tribute highlights her deep appreciation for the cast. “The job is always about the people, and this bunch was definitely one of the best. Thanks for the memories,” she added, as reported by Wales Online.
Co-stars and friends quickly took to social media to celebrate her achievement. Fleur East commented, “Smashed it!! An amazing achievement,” while fellow *Strictly* professional Dr Ranj Singh and Nancy Xu shared supportive messages filled with love. One fan expressed their enthusiasm, saying, “Journey of an absolute lifetime. I have had the best time coming along and watching you! You were born to be Roxie! Thank you for all the memories!” Another admirer praised her performance, stating, “What an incredible show and incredible performance from you! I went to see it last night and was blown away! Such a talented and funny cast.”
Janette’s dedication to her craft was evident in her final days with the production. Earlier this month, she had to miss several shows due to illness. She updated her followers about her recovery, mentioning, “Slowly recovering but some fresh air with my mom and Lyra was exactly the medicine I needed. Thank you for all the get well wishes.”
In another post, she confirmed, “On the mend. Antibiotics, painkillers, cuddles with Lyra. Will be back soon.”
As her final performance approached, Janette shared a nostalgic photo from the stage, captioning it, “One day left as ‘Roxie’….” Her fellow *Strictly* pro, Nadiya Bychkova, expressed her pride, writing, “I am so proud of you, my beautiful friend.” Katya Jones added, “She was lucky to be hosted by you! Absolute perfection.”
