Reality television star Jess Wright has candidly shared her feelings of pressure stemming from her family’s success, particularly in relation to her brother, Mark Wright. In an interview with The Sun, Jess expressed her struggles with self-doubt, stating that she often questions whether she is “doing well enough” amidst her family’s achievements.

Jess, who gained fame as an original cast member of *The Only Way Is Essex* (TOWIE) in 2010, reflected on how her family’s ambitions influence her own career trajectory. She mentioned her younger brother, Joshua Wright, a former footballer turned manager, and her sister, Natalya Wright, a burgeoning influencer, highlighting their collective drive to succeed. “I’m quite driven by my family. Everyone is really ambitious and, obviously, Mark’s really successful. Joshua is successful in what he does. Natalya’s smashing it with her stuff,” Jess noted.

Despite her accomplishments, Jess admitted to feeling the weight of comparison. “You’re always like: ‘God, am I doing enough?’ I’m really hard on myself. I always think I’m not doing well enough,” she stated.

Challenges in the Entertainment Industry

The reality star spoke about the challenges she faces in the competitive television industry. “This industry is tough; TV is really hard to come by these days,” Jess explained. She emphasized the influx of new talent in the entertainment field, which adds to her sense of urgency. “I have to remind myself that I’ve had 15 years in the public eye and I’m still working,” she said.

Currently, Jess is set to appear in the upcoming series of ITV’s *Cooking With The Stars*, alongside personalities such as Jack Osbourne and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. The show is scheduled to premiere on August 5, 2025. At the launch event, Jess showcased her stylish appearance in a semi-sheer white blouse and a polka dot mini skirt, complemented by classic black heels and a designer handbag valued at £2,475.

The premiere attracted various celebrities, including Natalie Cassidy and Jordan North, further highlighting the vibrant atmosphere of the event.

Mark Wright’s New Ventures

Meanwhile, Mark Wright is also making waves in the entertainment sphere. He is currently co-hosting the Heart Breakfast radio show with Olly Murs and is reportedly set to appear on the next season of *Celebrity Bake Off*. This season is particularly special as it features a lineup of well-known celebrities, including Molly-Mae Hague and JoJo Siwa. If confirmed, this will mark Mark’s return to television following the birth of his daughter, Palma Elizabeth, in March 2025, whom he shares with wife Michelle Keegan.

In a previous interview, Jess shared her excitement about becoming an aunt and the joy of seeing Mark and Michelle embrace parenthood. “It’s lovely seeing [Mark and Michelle] as parents; I knew they would be incredible parents and they are,” she remarked, highlighting the close bond within their family.

Jess Wright’s reflections on her career and family dynamics underscore the balancing act many face in the entertainment industry. As she navigates her journey, her determination to carve out her own path remains evident, even in the face of familial comparisons.
