Stefan Dennis Reassures Fans After Missing Strictly Come Dancing
Stefan Dennis, known for his role in the television series Neighbours, has updated fans on his health after he was unable to participate in the live episode of Strictly Come Dancing last weekend. The actor missed the show’s Movie Week due to illness, having been advised by medical professionals to take a break. Fortunately, Dennis has confirmed that he is now feeling well and ready to return to the dance floor.
Return to Rehearsals
On October 15, 2023, Dennis appeared alongside his professional partner, Dianne Buswell, on The One Show. When asked about his recovery, he responded simply, “Good as gold.” This optimistic update comes as the duo prepares for their next performance, which involves the challenging Charleston, described by presenter Vernon Kay as “probably the most difficult” dance featured on the BBC programme.
Despite the pressure, Dennis kept the mood light, joking in response to Kay’s comment, “Thanks for that!” He explained that he is beginning to feel positive about the upcoming routine. “It’s funny because, as I was saying to Dianne today, for the first time, I’m actually starting to feel really confident about doing the dance,” he shared. “I’ve had fear of every single dance even though, you know, sometimes I’ve got a little bit right.”
Progressing to Next Week
Buswell chimed in, noting that their rehearsals for the upcoming performance on October 18 were going “really good.” She acknowledged that while their Monday practice started off “a little rocky,” Dennis was learning more with each session. “I think it’s going to be a good dance for us,” she added.
Last week, Strictly Come Dancing announced via their Instagram account that Dennis would not be dancing due to health concerns. The post explained, “Due to illness over the past few days, Stefan Dennis has been advised to rest and, as a result, he will not dance this weekend.” In accordance with the show’s rules, Dennis and Buswell will advance directly to the next week, where they hope to perform once again.
Fans of the show can look forward to seeing the pair back in action soon, as Dennis seems eager to conquer his fears and embrace the dance floor with renewed confidence.
