Topshop Relaunches with Cara Delevingne as Brand Ambassador

Topshop has announced the relaunch of its brand, appointing model Cara Delevingne as the face of its new campaign. This partnership highlights Delevingne’s deep connection to London and her long-standing relationship with the brand, which has captivated fashion enthusiasts for years.
After a period of limited visibility, with Topshop being primarily available through ASOS, the brand is ready to reclaim its place in the fashion landscape. Recognizing a gap left in the market, Topshop will unveil a curated collection of 30 pieces designed to resonate with contemporary consumers. This collection embodies confidence and individuality, reflecting the ethos of both Delevingne and the brand.
A Fashion Destination Reimagined
From the late 1990s through the 2000s, Topshop was not merely a retail store; it was a cultural phenomenon where youth, style, and identity converged. Following the administration of its parent company, the brand’s presence faded from high streets across the United Kingdom and beyond. Now, with a renewed vision, Topshop aims to revive its fashion-forward spirit.
Delevingne, a quintessential Londoner, expressed her excitement about the relaunch, stating, “As a London girl, Topshop was the place where fashion felt fun, fearless, and full of possibilities. Coming back to Topshop now is more than a return – it’s about starting something new. This collection is about owning your style, your story, and feeling empowered to express that every day.”
The upcoming collection channels Delevingne’s unique London edge, featuring sharp tailoring, statement outerwear, and reimagined denim staples. A monochrome palette, highlighted by vibrant avocado green accents, offers a fresh seasonal aesthetic. The collection aims to balance strong silhouettes with fluid fabrics, ensuring that the pieces not only look empowering but feel empowering as well.
Strategic Vision for the Future
The team at Topshop views this collaboration as more than just a marketing campaign. They describe it as a “statement of intent” to reintroduce the brand to a modern audience. Michelle Wilson, Topshop’s Managing Director, emphasized Delevingne’s alignment with the brand’s core values, stating, “Cara is the perfect embodiment of the Topshop spirit – bold, creative, and unapologetically herself.”
The new collection will launch on August 16, 2023, on topshop.com. It will feature standout items such as a bold black-and-white faux shearling coat, an ’80s-inspired cinched PU jacket, and updated versions of popular denim styles like the Joni and Jamie jeans. This initial offering is just the beginning, as Topshop and Delevingne are already collaborating on a full capsule collection for the 2026/2027 season, focusing on high-quality materials and thoughtful design.
As Topshop embarks on this exciting new chapter, it aims to redefine its identity while resonating with a diverse and contemporary audience. The collaboration with Delevingne signals a commitment to cultural relevance and design integrity, positioning Topshop once again as a key player in the global fashion industry.
