Nigel Farage Criticizes Keir Starmer’s Migration Policies and State Banquet Snub

Nigel Farage has issued a stern warning to Labour leader Keir Starmer, accusing him of dishonesty regarding migration policies and stating that he intends to “get rid of” the Prime Minister. In an exclusive interview with the new weekday show, The Daily Expresso, Farage expressed his discontent over being excluded from an upcoming state banquet for Donald Trump, calling the decision “insulting.”

Farage, the leader of the Reform Party, lamented that despite his longstanding friendship with Trump, the Labour government has chosen not to invite him. He remarked, “They wouldn’t invite me. Hey, we’re only 15 points ahead in the polls. I’ve only known him personally as a friend for over a decade, but that shows you the attitude of this Labour government.”

The invitation snub is compounded by Farage’s frustration over Starmer’s refusal to allow him to recommend peers for the House of Lords. He stated, “I wrote to him about members of the House of Lords. I haven’t even had a reply.”

In a bold assertion, Farage reminded Starmer of his political influence, saying, “I got rid of David Cameron, I got rid of Theresa May, if you go on being rude to me I’ll get rid of you.” He revealed plans to deport 600,000 illegal immigrants within his first term if elected Prime Minister, proposing to implement five removal flights daily. His strategy includes leaving the European Convention on Human Rights, repealing the Human Rights Act, and disregarding significant refugee treaties.

In response to Farage’s aggressive stance, Starmer cautioned potential migrants attempting to enter the UK illegally, stating, “If you’re thinking about coming to the UK illegally, don’t – you’ll face detention and return.” Farage mockingly responded, “If you come to the UK illegally under Keir Starmer, we guarantee four-star accommodation; we can’t promise five-star.” He criticized the government, claiming they have done nothing but deceive the public.

Farage expressed sympathy for Starmer’s role as Prime Minister, acknowledging the weight of responsibility he carries. He observed, “Before the recess, there was a look about him in the eyes. He kind of looked beaten. He looked really down.”

The interview also touched on the Conservative Party’s leadership, with Farage predicting the departure of Kemi Badenoch by Christmas. He stated, “It will all be over by Christmas. She’ll be gone.” Farage believes the Conservatives are losing credibility on migration issues, noting that their plans, such as the controversial Rwanda policy, cannot be enacted due to ECHR obligations. He insisted, “They have failed on this utterly.”

As the Reform Party prepares for its conference this weekend, Farage emphasized the need to professionalize the party by focusing on fundraising and candidate recruitment. He hinted at the possible announcement of notable defectors from the Conservative Party but underscored a careful selection process. “We don’t want to be the Tory party 2.0, but if those that come to us from the Conservatives add value, then we want them.”

Despite the challenges facing political parties, Farage remains optimistic about the Reform Party’s future. He described the atmosphere at Reform events as akin to a festival, filled with energy and hope for change. “People now think, you know what? Now’s the time for it… I think we’ve got every chance of winning the next election. Yes, I do.”

Looking ahead, Farage plans to travel to the United States to testify before the House Judiciary Committee regarding the impact of UK online safety laws on free speech. He intends to highlight the case of Lucy Connolly, a mother jailed for stirring up racial hatred online, which he argues demonstrates the potential for censorship under the new laws.

He concluded by emphasizing the urgent need for reform, stating, “We’re in terrible economic and social and cultural decline… we need some positive energy.”
