The excitement surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) in coding is beginning to wane as significant challenges emerge. Prominent figures in the tech industry, like Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, previously claimed that AI would soon handle 90% of coding tasks. However, recent research reveals that instead of enhancing productivity, AI tools are proving to be a liability for developers.

His assertions echoed sentiments from other industry leaders, including Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, who anticipated significant reductions in the company’s programming workforce.
