Preston North End Praises Harrison Armstrong After Impressive Performance
Harrison Armstrong, an emerging talent from Everton, showcased his potential during a recent loan spell at Preston North End. After a strong performance in a 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic on October 4, 2025, Armstrong received high praise from both his current club and Everton’s management.
Armstrong made his full debut with Preston in a challenging 2-2 draw against Hull City on September 30. He played for 80 minutes, demonstrating his skills and resilience on the field. His standout performance against Charlton included an impressive statistic of completing 35 out of 40 passes, highlighting his accuracy and ability to influence the game.
Preston North End celebrated Armstrong’s contributions on social media, posting a message that read, “So good today,” alongside an image of the young midfielder and teammate Daniel Jebbison. This acknowledgment reflects the excitement surrounding Armstrong’s development as he gains valuable playing time away from Everton.
David Moyes, the manager of Everton, is closely monitoring Armstrong’s progress during his loan at Preston. Given his recent performances, Moyes appears optimistic about the midfielder’s future with the Toffees. Armstrong, who made his senior debut for Everton against Tottenham Hotspur in August 2024, has accumulated eight appearances, four of which were in the Premier League.
As he continues to start matches for Preston, there is a strong possibility that Armstrong could feature prominently in Everton’s midfield next season. His current trajectory suggests he is already demonstrating qualities that may position him for a return to the Premier League.
Preston North End has expressed enthusiasm for Armstrong’s talent, but they may face challenges in retaining him if he continues to impress. The young midfielder’s ongoing development will likely influence Moyes’s decisions during pre-season training ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Armstrong’s journey exemplifies the potential benefits of loan spells for young players, providing them with essential experience and exposure to competitive football. With continued dedication and performance, he is on track to make a significant impact at Everton in the future, further solidifying his reputation as one of the club’s brightest prospects.
