The team from Invergordon Community Fire Station responded to a flare-up on September 21, 2023, which was traced back to the careless use of a disposable BBQ. The fire, which affected around 50 square meters of forestry near Struie Road in Edderton, was challenging to manage due to the lack of nearby water sources. A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service reported that a fire appliance was dispatched at 16:03 to tackle the flames. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and crews ensured the area was safe before leaving the scene.

In an effort to raise awareness, the Invergordon team shared images from the incident on social media.
