He cautioned that Spanish funeral traditions can take British families by surprise: “Spanish funerals typically occur within 48 hours of death, which can catch families unprepared.”

Additionally, Gallois advises prospective retirees to be aware of visa regulations that have changed post-Brexit. “While the paperwork might seem daunting, thousands of Britons continue to make this move successfully each year.
