Rhea Ripley Calls Out Fans for Obstructing Her Taxi in Paris

WWE star Rhea Ripley confronted a crowd of fans in Paris after they physically obstructed her from entering an Uber. The incident occurred ahead of the highly anticipated WWE Clash in Paris event, scheduled for today, August 31, 2025. Video footage captured the moment Ripley was “mobbed” by a group of fans, which she likened to a “swarm” of “rabid zombies” that pushed her against the vehicle’s door.
In a post on X, Ripley expressed her frustration, stating, “Remember, we are people. Do not swarm me or anyone like a pack of rabid zombies… No one should ever be pushed up against an Uber driver’s door and completely mobbed like I just experienced.” She urged fans to practice “common courtesy and humanity,” emphasizing that “no means no.”
The incident took place as Ripley was leaving the hotel where WWE wrestlers are housed, with dozens of fans waiting outside, eager to take pictures. Although WWE has not released an official statement regarding the incident, it highlights ongoing concerns about the safety and privacy of performers in the wrestling industry.
Previous Concerns Over Fan Interactions
Rhea Ripley is not the only WWE star to address issues with fan behavior. Earlier this year, she publicly criticized fans for sending mail to her private address, which she deemed a violation of her privacy. On February 24, 2025, Ripley wrote on X, “Shouldn’t have to say this… Do not ever send fan mail to my house. That is by mail, or SELF DELIVERED! That is 100% not ok.”
Other wrestlers, including Asuka, have also voiced their concerns regarding fan interactions. Asuka revealed her feelings of danger, stating she had consulted police about her safety. In her post, she mentioned, “I absolutely reject any romantic or personal approaches toward me.”
The issue of fan conduct has resonated with other WWE stars as well. Kevin Owens has criticized fans for “stalking” wrestlers at airports, urging them to respect boundaries. In an interview on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet,” Owens shared his frustrations, adding, “There’s one that I wrote that I don’t think anybody has found yet. It says ‘Don’t follow us at the airport.’ And that’s one that people should take to heart.”
As WWE continues its European tour, with Ripley prominently featured as a top-level women’s wrestler, incidents like these highlight the ongoing challenge of maintaining a respectful distance between fans and performers. While enthusiasm from fans is a crucial aspect of the entertainment industry, it is essential to recognize the importance of personal space and privacy for individuals in the public eye.
