Molly-Mae Hague Faces Parenting Challenge After Daughter Bites Child

Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about her parenting struggles after her daughter, Bambi, bit another child at nursery. The reality star, who rose to fame on Love Island, shared her concerns in a recent YouTube video, highlighting the challenges many parents face during early childhood development.
In the video, uploaded on August 18, 2025, Hague revealed that she received a call from the nursery informing her of the incident. This wasn’t an isolated event; she noted it was part of a troubling trend at the nursery, which she described as a “biting pandemic.” The 26-year-old explained, “Basically, at her nursery at the minute, there is a bit of a biting pandemic going on, and all of the children are biting one another.”
The situation escalated when Bambi returned home with a visible bite mark on her arm, having been bitten by another child just days prior. Molly-Mae expressed her concern, stating that she felt it was only a matter of time before they would call her again about Bambi’s behavior. “I feel like they are all seeing each other doing it and copying the behavior,” she remarked.
As she navigated how to handle her daughter’s actions, Molly-Mae questioned the appropriateness of rewarding Bambi with ice cream later that day, given that she had just bitten another child. She reflected on her previous parenting approach, explaining, “I decided to go with the method of not talking about it because I think they do it maybe because they want a reaction.” Despite this, she acknowledged that the method had not proven effective, as Bambi had bitten again.
Her sister, Zoe, who was present during the video, suggested that Molly-Mae should address the incident this time. The reality star confessed her embarrassment, saying, “It’s so embarrassing for me because it’s completely and utterly the opposite of what I want my child to be.” She emphasized her desire for Bambi to be kind and caring, stating that the biting behavior was not reflective of the values she hopes to instill.
Molly-Mae also shared insights on the nursery’s approach to discipline, mentioning that they adopt a gentle parenting style that does not involve traditional disciplinary measures. She questioned whether this method was effective, noting, “I think she knows the environment she’s in; she won’t be told off.” This lack of discipline has left her feeling uncertain about the best way to handle Bambi’s behavior.
As the video progressed, Molly-Mae expressed her commitment to sharing her vulnerabilities as a mother. She emphasized the importance of authenticity in parenting, stating, “I’m not going to shy away ever from what I’m feeling.” This sentiment resonated with her followers, who praised her openness. Comments from viewers reflected gratitude for her honesty, with one follower stating, “Molly, I LOVE your open honesty with parenting; it makes me feel like I’m not the only one struggling at times.”
In previous discussions, Molly-Mae had touched on the difficulties of motherhood, revealing that she sometimes questions her capabilities as a parent. “I’m having one of those days, toddler mum days, where I question, ‘am I actually cut out for this?'” she candidly shared.
While she has expressed a desire to have another child in the future, she admitted to concerns about her readiness for the challenges that lie ahead. As she navigates the complexities of parenting a toddler, Molly-Mae Hague continues to engage with her audience, offering insights and fostering a sense of community among fellow parents.
