Inverness Caledonian Thistle Loans Robbie Thompson to Brora Rangers

Inverness Caledonian Thistle has announced that midfielder Robbie Thompson will join Highland League champions Brora Rangers on loan for the remainder of the year. The 21-year-old player will be with the Sutherland club until January 2024, making this his third loan spell as he gains valuable first-team experience.
Thompson, who developed his skills at the Inverness Caledonian Thistle Academy, signed a full-time contract with the club in June 2021. Since then, he has made a total of 45 appearances for the first team, scoring his inaugural goal during this year’s KDM Evolution Trophy match against Elgin City. His performance in the trophy match has highlighted his potential and contribution to the team.
As part of his development, Thompson has previously spent time on loan at Clachnacuddin in the Highland League and The Spartans in League Two. These experiences have been crucial for his growth, allowing him to adapt to competitive football at different levels.
Thompson is expected to make his debut for Brora Rangers this Saturday afternoon against Keith. His addition to the squad is seen as an exciting opportunity for both the player and the club as they aim to maintain their strong form in the Highland League.
This loan move reflects Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s ongoing strategy to provide young players like Thompson with essential playing time, fostering their development while also strengthening teams within the league. As the season progresses, both clubs will look forward to the contributions Thompson will bring to the pitch.
