The application process for the Regional Music Festival “Biser Jadrana” officially begins today, inviting musicians from the Ex-Yugoslav region to submit their compositions. Hosted in Tivtu, this prestigious festival is organized for the third consecutive year by the non-governmental organization NVO “Delić koji nedostaje”.

Compositions must be original and cannot have been previously performed or published. The deadline for submissions is May 24, 2026. Applicants are required to provide the name of the performer, the title of the composition, and the names of the authors. By May 10, the festival’s selection committee will inform applicants whether their submissions have been accepted.

Selected composers must send their arranged pieces to the organizers by July 1, 2026, in master WAV format. The festival organizers will handle post-production for all accepted compositions, including performance recordings and material preparation for future broadcasts or agreed uses. Participants whose compositions are chosen will perform at the festival, with live television coverage and media promotion before, during, and after the event.

Organizers have highlighted that valuable prizes and festival recognitions will be awarded for the best compositions. The competitive evening, scheduled for July 18, will feature a total of 24 performers, including artists from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Slovenia.

All authors and performers from the Ex-Yugoslav region are eligible to participate, with opportunities for collaboration between the countries involved. To qualify, performers must be over 18 years old. Duet entries, featuring artists from the same or different countries in the region, are also welcome.

Submissions should be sent via email to [email protected] in MP3 format as a demo version. If selected for the competitive evening, finalists must submit the final version of their song (master WAV format) by July 10, along with a biography and two professional photographs of the performer. Authors must also confirm in writing their roles in the composition (music, lyrics, arrangement), that they have not utilized AI or modern technologies for composition, and grant permission for their song to be performed at the “Biser Jadrana” festival in 2026.

This festival not only showcases original music but also fosters cultural exchange and collaboration across the Ex-Yugoslav region, further enriching the musical landscape of the area.
