Regional Music Festival “Biser Jadrana” Opens Composition Submissions
The application process for the Regional Music Festival “Biser Jadrana” has officially commenced today, inviting musicians to submit their original compositions. Taking place in Tivtu, Montenegro, this esteemed festival is organized by the non-governmental organization NVO “Delić koji nedostaje” for the third consecutive year.
Compositions submitted for consideration must be previously unpublished and have not been performed before. Interested participants have until May 24, 2026, to submit their entries, which should include the name of the performer, the title of the composition, and the names of the authors involved.
Submission Guidelines and Festival Details
The festival’s selection committee will notify applicants about the acceptance of their compositions by May 10, 2026. Those whose works are chosen will need to provide arranged compositions to the organizers by July 1, 2026, in master WAV format. The festival organizers will handle post-production of all accepted compositions, including recording performances and preparing materials for future broadcasts or agreed-upon uses.
The festival guarantees participation in the event, along with live television coverage and media representation before, during, and after the festival for selected compositions. Organizers emphasize that valuable prizes and festival recognitions will be awarded to the best compositions.
Scheduled for July 18, 2026, the “Competition Evening” will feature a total of 24 performers, representing the Ex-Yugoslav region, including Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Slovenia. All authors and performers from these countries are eligible to participate, with the possibility of collaboration between artists from different nations.
It is important to note that participants must be over 18 years old, and duets are also welcome, allowing performers from either the same or different countries in the region to collaborate. Compositions should be sent to the email address [email protected] in MP3 format and as demo versions.
If a composition is selected for the competition evening, the final version of the song (master WAV format) must be submitted by July 10, 2026. Additionally, artists are required to submit a biography, two professional photographs, and written confirmation of authorship (for music, lyrics, and arrangements). They should also declare that they have not utilized artificial intelligence or modern technologies that compose, arrange, or write lyrics independently. Furthermore, artists must give consent for their song to be performed at the “Biser Jadrana” festival in 2026 and provide a contact telephone number.
This festival represents a significant opportunity for emerging artists in the region to showcase their talents and gain recognition on a larger platform.
