Bandai Namco Plans Remaster of Tales of Xillia 2 Soon

Bandai Namco is set to release a remaster of Tales of Xillia on October 31, 2025, and discussions surrounding its sequel, Tales of Xillia 2, indicate that a remaster is also in the works. In a recent interview with Famitsu, series director Yusuke Tomizawa revealed that progress is being made on the sequel, but it has yet to be officially announced.

Tomizawa explained that the development team is adhering to a strategy of promptly announcing titles as they become ready for release. “We’re following an ‘announce and release what’s ready quickly’ approach,” he stated. He emphasized that the remaster of Tales of Xillia 2 is still ongoing, which accounts for the lack of a formal announcement thus far. He reassured fans that updates will be shared as soon as they are available.

The anticipation for future remasters in the Tales series is growing. Tomizawa indicated that more than two titles are currently in development, although specific details remain undisclosed. “The pace of releases depends on the planning and development status—it could speed up or slow down,” he noted. Nonetheless, he expressed a commitment to delivering as many titles as possible to fans in a timely manner.

While the excitement builds for the remastered version of Tales of Xillia, fans can look forward to further announcements regarding the future of the series.
