The Atlantic Salmon 50p coin became the rarest 50p in circulation in 2023, having been minted as part of a collection of eight new designs following the accession of King Charles III to the throne. With a limited mintage of only 200,000, this coin has overtaken the previously coveted Kew Gardens 50p coin, which was once considered the most valuable.

Designated as “2023 Salmon 50p Coin – No Privy Mark – King Charles III, Rare – 200,000 Released,” the eBay listing not only highlighted the coin’s rarity but also its unique design.
