EE Offers Best Price for iPhone 17 Pro Amid January Sales
Retailers are slashing prices on the newly released iPhone 17 Pro as part of January sales, and EE has stepped up with an enticing offer. The device, which has only been on the market for a few months, is now available for £32.29 per month, bundled with EE’s 150GB Essentials tariff that has dropped from £37 to £29 per month. This represents a total savings of £192 over a 24-month period.
Under this plan, customers will pay a total of £61.29 per month along with a £30 upfront fee. In addition, EE is enticing consumers by offering up to £480 for trading in an old device. For those looking for unlimited data, EE’s Unlimited All Rounder plan for iPhone is available for an additional £13 each month.
Yet, potential customers should note the annual price increases associated with EE’s contracts. Starting from April 2026, the £29 airtime plan will rise to £31.50, with a further increase to £34 from April 2027.
In a competitive move, Sky Mobile has introduced its own iPhone 17 Pro deal. The model is now offered at £34 per month with a £12 upfront cost, but this plan includes only a 100MB data allowance, which may not suffice for many users. Sky’s additional data plans range from 1GB for £5 to unlimited data for £22, catering to those with higher data needs.
Both EE and Sky’s offers are for the 256GB model, available in three colour options: Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue, and Silver. For consumers considering outright purchases, the iPhone 17 Pro is priced consistently across retailers like Amazon and Argos, each charging £1,099.
The iPhone 17 Pro is regarded as Apple’s most powerful smartphone to date, featuring a 6.3-inch display, an A19 Pro chip, and a powerful 48MP camera with enhanced battery life. David Snelling, the Technology Editor for the Daily Express, praised the device in his five-star review following its launch in California in September 2023.
Snelling commented, “The iPhone 17 Pro packs quite a punch. It finally looks different, gets improved processing, longer battery life, and will keep cooler under pressure. The cameras are superb, the screens are sharp, and it offers bonus extras such as professional video recording.”
He highlighted the significant performance improvements, noting that the A19 Pro chip is approximately 50 percent faster than the A17 Pro found in the previous iPhone 15 Pro. He also pointed out that the device’s battery is capable of lasting a full day and beyond, an important feature for many users.
One of the main attractions of the Pro model is its camera system, which features three 48MP lenses: a main, telephoto, and ultra-wide. Snelling also noted the device’s impressive ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate, enhanced with better anti-reflection properties, making it easier to view in bright outdoor settings.
As consumers weigh their options, the higher starting price of £1,099 for the iPhone 17 Pro—£300 more than the iPhone 17—may influence their purchasing decisions. Alternatives like the iPhone Air present slimmer options, although they, too, come with increased price tags.
Overall, with ongoing January sales, consumers are likely to continue seeing competitive offers from retailers as they seek to capitalize on the popularity of the iPhone 17 series.
