Foo Fighters Debut New Song at Intimate London Show
Foo Fighters delivered an electrifying performance at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London on February 25, 2026, marking their first UK show of the year. The band treated fans to an exclusive preview of their unreleased track, Of All People, as part of a 22-song setlist. This performance followed two earlier shows in Ireland, including a memorable concert at St. James’ Church in Dingle, County Kerry, on February 22, and another at The Academy in Dublin on February 23.
This London concert was particularly significant for the band, as it took place in the city where they held their first-ever show outside North America on June 3, 1995. Tickets for this much-anticipated event went on sale just four days prior, available exclusively to fans who queued outside the venue. During the performance, frontman Dave Grohl connected with the audience, stating, “This is what it felt like 30 years ago,” highlighting the intimate atmosphere of the event.
The evening kicked off with the band’s inaugural single, This Is A Call, followed by fan favorites such as All My Life and Times Like These. The highlight came when they performed Of All People, which is expected to feature on their upcoming twelfth album, Your Favorite Toy. This 10-track album, set for release on April 24, 2026, was recorded at Grohl’s 606 studio and produced in collaboration with their in-house engineer, Oliver Roman.
Grohl shared insights about the creative process behind the new album in a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music. He revealed that over the past year and a half, he had been busy writing and experimenting with around 30 to 40 different ideas. Grohl described a pivotal moment when he listened to a series of tracks that flowed seamlessly together. He noted, “There were these 10 songs in a row in my playlist that were all just like noisy, loud bangers. Up-tempo, like back to the old days.”
The band welcomed Jason Falkner to substitute for Pat Smear, who sustained a leg injury in January. Falkner’s involvement added a unique touch to the performance, allowing Foo Fighters to maintain their high-energy sound.
As anticipation builds for Your Favorite Toy, fans can look forward to a return to the band’s roots, as Grohl has emphasized a focus on crafting songs that resonate with the energetic essence of their earlier work. The concert not only showcased new material but also served as a reminder of the enduring connection between the band and their audience.
With a blend of nostalgia and fresh creativity, Foo Fighters continue to capture the spirit of rock, promising an exciting year ahead for both the band and their devoted fans.
