His early ambitions included managing larger attractions, but he humorously remembers the disappointment of being assigned to a smaller ride, The Froghopper.

His time at Tesco left him with vivid memories, particularly his role on the store’s tannoy system, which he jokingly attributes to his foray into stand-up. “I think that is why I ended up going into stand-up comedy,” he remarked. “I just wanted my voice amplified so much.”

Peart’s nostalgic tales include a cheeky approach to closing time announcements. “I would give a 20-minute warning instead of five because I wanted to be out of there quickly,” he said, recalling how he would change clothes at work to make a swift exit for the nightlife.
