Popular collectible plush toys, Labubu, are set to return to the shelves of Forbidden Planet in Leicester following significant demand from fans. In a statement to LeicestershireLive, James, the store manager, mentioned, “We will be getting new stock very soon. The store has been quite busy with Labubu fans, but it’s generally been quite cordial in the grand scheme of things. It’s been very busy when they are available.”

The popularity of Labubu toys notably increased in early to mid-2024, catalysed by a social media post from Lisa, a member of the K-pop group Blackpink, who showcased her own Labubu doll collection. This endorsement sparked a trend that propelled the toys into mainstream visibility.
