Primark’s £27 Gel Manicure Delivers Impressive Results

A recent visit to Primark’s nail salon in Liverpool revealed a surprisingly effective gel manicure service for just £27. As many beauty enthusiasts know, finding an affordable gel manicure often proves challenging, with prices typically starting around £25. This experience, however, highlighted both the convenience and quality available at Primark, making it an appealing option for those seeking a quick beauty fix.
Convenience in the Heart of Liverpool
The Primark nail salon, located on the second floor of Liverpool ONE, has long piqued the interest of shoppers due to its low-key atmosphere and lack of queues. On a Monday afternoon at approximately 17:00, I decided to explore the nail bar after failing to secure an appointment at a more traditional salon before an upcoming holiday. Upon arrival, I found a nail technician ready to assist me immediately, eliminating the hassle of booking in advance.
The gel manicure service included a series of preparatory treatments, such as nail cutting, filing, and cuticle trimming. I selected a deep red polish, having initially considered a baby pink shade. While the pink options were limited, the available colours allowed me to find a hue that suited my style.
Efficient Service and Lasting Quality
The manicure process was swift and efficient. Unlike many salons that soak hands in water, the technician focused on preparing my nails without unnecessary delays. After confirming I was satisfied with the shape—very short and rounded square—the technician applied two coats of polish, followed by multiple rounds under an LED light to ensure a smooth and glossy finish.
The critical measure of any gel manicure is its durability. After a week filled with activities such as swimming and everyday tasks, my nails remained largely intact, with only a minor chip at the base of one nail. This longevity is particularly impressive, considering my usual lack of care for manicured nails.
In conclusion, my experience at Primark’s nail salon was unexpectedly positive. While other salons may offer more luxurious treatments involving moisturisers and hand soaks, the convenience of walking in without a reservation and receiving quality service for £27 made this visit worthwhile. For those in need of a quick and affordable manicure, Primark emerges as a viable option in the bustling heart of Liverpool.
