Queen Camilla Brings Laughter to Schoolchildren During Gallery Visit
Queen Camilla entertained a group of primary school children during her visit to the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London on September 4, 2025. The Queen, who is married to King Charles, joined the children in a playful moment as they attempted to cram into a traditional red telephone box, much to the delight of their teacher and onlookers.
Dressed elegantly in a chic black and white collared dress, the 78-year-old monarch showcased her sense of humor despite the gloomy weather. She arrived to unveil the new Artplay Pavilion and Sculpture Garden, where she was welcomed by Simon Duckworth, the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Southwark.
Camilla’s stylish ensemble included a pair of silver high heels and various gold bracelets, among them a Van Cleef & Arpels bangle featuring turquoise petals, valued at approximately £5,350. Her makeup was equally polished, with bold lipstick and expertly applied blush.
As she interacted with the children, many of whom had just begun their autumn school term, Camilla joined in on their excitement. A video from the visit captured the moment when a teacher suggested they see how many could fit into the phone box. Camilla quipped, “Then we’ll shut you all in,” prompting laughter from the teacher and children alike.
This visit follows a busy week for Camilla, who had recently met with members of the 4th Battalion of The Ranger Regiment in Aldershot. On the previous day, she wore a white dress, reminiscent of a previous appearance at Wimbledon in July 2023, as she engaged with soldiers and their families.
The royal family’s engagements did not stop with Camilla. On the same day, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, visited the Natural History Museum alongside Prince William. During their outing, Kate wore a sentimental necklace featuring the initials of her three children—G for George, C for Charlotte, and L for Louis—which retails for £495. This visit marked a return to royal duties following their summer break, during which they reportedly enjoyed a sailing trip around the Greek islands.
Both royal visits highlighted the ongoing commitment of the British monarchy to engage with the community and support educational initiatives. As the autumn season begins, these interactions serve to reinforce the royal family’s connection to the public, showcasing both their personalities and responsibilities.
