People R Ugly Collaborate with Mark Hoppus for ‘Wake Up’ Video
People R Ugly has joined forces with Mark Hoppus, the bassist and vocalist of blink-182, to release a new music video for their latest single, ‘Wake Up’. The video, which features a whimsical dance routine reminiscent of the 2004 cult classic film Napoleon Dynamite, adds an engaging visual element to the infectious track.
In anticipation of their debut album, titled GARAGE, set to be released on October 24, 2023, the band expressed their excitement regarding the upcoming project. They described GARAGE as a significant departure from their previous work, stating, “We’re beyond excited to finally share GARAGE. This project is unlike anything we’ve ever made before. We had a blast experimenting, messing around, and pushing ourselves in new directions, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We hope it makes you laugh, cry, dance, mosh, and maybe even smile at a surprise feature you won’t see coming.”
The album will be released through Verswire, and the band has promised a unique listening experience that captures a range of emotions and styles. People R Ugly is gearing up for their performance at this year’s Warped Tour, scheduled for November 15 in Orlando, where fans can expect to hear their new material live.
The collaboration with Hoppus marks a notable moment in People R Ugly’s career, as they continue to build their presence in the music industry. The combination of their innovative sound and Hoppus’s established reputation is likely to attract a diverse audience and amplify their reach.
With the release of the ‘Wake Up’ video and their forthcoming album, People R Ugly is poised to make a significant impact in the contemporary music scene. Fans and new listeners alike can look forward to what promises to be an exciting chapter for the band.
