Scottish Gangster Spotted in £1.2 Million Dubai Villa Amid Crime Wave
Robert ‘Boab’ McGuire, a 37-year-old figure in Scotland’s underworld, has made headlines for his lavish lifestyle in Dubai. Residing in a detached villa valued at approximately £1.2 million, McGuire has been frequently seen cruising through the city in luxury supercars and appearing in extravagant gangster rap videos. His opulent surroundings stand in stark contrast to his troubled past in Clydebank, Scotland.
The villa features a garden mural dedicated to his late brother, Billy McGuire, who was murdered five years ago. McGuire has publicly vowed revenge against those responsible for his brother’s death, intensifying the ongoing gang conflict in Scotland. His proximity to former criminal associate Ross ‘Miami’ McGill, now incarcerated, adds further layers to his story. McGill, a former leader of the Union Bears, was arrested last week amid allegations of orchestrating violent attacks on rival gangs.
McGuire’s ties to Scotland’s criminal underbelly have not waned despite his relocation. Sources indicate that he remains connected to the gang violence that has escalated in recent months. In March 2023, tensions flared following a cocaine deal involving fake cash, which reportedly implicated McGill and his associates. This incident triggered a series of retaliatory attacks among rival factions, including the Daniel crime clan.
In a troubling twist, Corey Craig, another figure linked to the murder of Billy McGuire, recently faced an assault in prison related to his involvement in the case. While serving a sentence for culpable homicide, Craig was attacked by Liam Mathewson, who admitted to the assault in Hamilton Sheriff Court. The court heard that Mathewson, already incarcerated for a separate murder attempt, was involved in a violent confrontation that left Craig with injuries requiring medical attention.
The ongoing feud has prompted Police Scotland to heighten their crackdown on gang activity. Authorities are concerned about the resurgence of violence, particularly as rival gangs vie for control over drug trade routes. The situation has been exacerbated by the arrest of McGill and another rival, Steven Lyons, who are accused of orchestrating a series of firebombing attacks against competitors.
McGuire, who has always been proud of his roots in Drumchapel, appears to relish the glamorous lifestyle that Dubai offers. Yet his past continues to haunt him. Sources close to him suggest he remains vigilant, using his connections in Scotland to keep tabs on those he believes are responsible for his brother’s death.
As the conflict between gangs shows no signs of slowing, the spotlight remains on figures like McGuire, who navigate the thin line between luxury and violence. His story reflects not only the allure of wealth in the criminal world but also the lingering shadows of revenge and retribution that accompany such a lifestyle.
