Giovanni Michael Robinson, known as Mike, had just celebrated his first hole-in-one at the esteemed Whistling Straits golf course when the incident occurred. The shooting took place in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, as Robinson was walking back to his hotel from a celebratory dinner.

Robinson, aged 32, was on a golf trip with friends, according to his brother, Jacob Robinson. It remains unclear whether anyone was with him at the time of the shooting. The Sheboygan Falls Police Department reported that officers arrived shortly after midnight and attempted life-saving measures, but Robinson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Jacob Robinson recounted a phone call with his brother just hours before the shooting. “He called to let me know he got his first hole-in-one,” Jacob said. “That phone call is just playing in my head.
